A Sad Day for Higher Education

From a dispatch at Inside Higher Ed, a professor was removed from her class for failing too many students. It appears that she tested them everyday with multiple choice answers that had 10 possibilities (no guessing here). How dare she hold students responsible for learning the material!

You can read the entire, sad tale here.

Thank God she wasn't teaching medical professionals. God forbid we expect the students to master the knowledge in a course. I paid for an education...not a grade.

I had a prof in college who's tests consisted of 50 true/false questions. Get it right, +2 points; get it wrong, -1 point. Most nerve racking tests I ever took.
